Formerly singer of Berntholer in the early eighties, Drita Kotaji wrote and composed "My Suitor", which was called a torch-song by the English reviews and appeared in the John Peel's Festive Fifty in 1984.
Since then, "My Suitor" has been continuously covered by other bands amongst which, recently in Belgium, by Buscemi and Das Pop.

Tired out by a shady manager and deceived by increasing pressures inside the band itself, Drita quitted Berntholer after just having signed a contract with Blanco y Negro at WEA in London.

In the meantime, Drita had part with several musicians for independent and alternative projects (180° with Roland Debuyst, The Witness of Disaster with the musicians of Isalation Ward, Subject with Barbara Montgomery and Alain Neefs from Bene Gesserit, Image par Image with Stephan Barbery).

In 1986, Drita joined Marie Delier, a Brussels contemporary artist combining video installations with audio and musical pieces. Drita wrote 5 ballads for Marie Delier and took part for Marie's installation "Femmes voilées".

In 1994, Drita wrote a solo album project with 10 songs, originally composed for voice and piano. Planned then to be released by a Japanese records label, the musician Hector Zazou started to work on arrangements.
This project didn't get a result with Japan until now, but it will certainly be released by I NEVER KNOW Records in the future.

In 1998, Drita met again Stephan Barbery and created INK. with him.
